Entry | Hawthorne Garden

Design Intent:

Convert a neglected front garden with raised vegetable garden beds and trees growing into the house, into a garden that would add curb appeal to the house and an area for seating.

Implementation:

The majority of the plantings of the front garden were removed. The aging, cracked concrete front walkway was replaced with select flagstone rectangular pavers and edging. Four-season planting were installed and a rectangular seating area with a parallel axis to the house was conceived where matching benches were placed. The result is a stunning front garden where plantings and seating combine to create a welcoming effect.
