Birch | Hawthorne Garden

Design Intent:

A mature Birch tree was overwhelming the small front garden. A design was needed to enhance the tree but also include other species to make it feel like a garden.

Implementation:

The mature Birch tree was highlighted with small river rock and a border of granite pavers. This gave the garden a strong focal point and some order. Woodland plantings were added that were tough and could cope with the urban setting and deep shade. The result is a beautiful urban garden that looks good and stays tidy throughout the year.
