Design Intent:

Update tired plantings to make the garden into a mixed woodland garden.

Provide an area in the back yard to accommodate a spa, fire pit and dining table.
Implementation:
Layers of plantings and curvilinear pathways were added throughout the garden to create an organic woodland garden. River rock drainage beds were added in areas with steep slopes to capture and redirect the water. A curvilinear patio with a seat wall was integrated in the back garden and a spa was installed near an existing deck. Now the back yard can be used for soaking in the spa, dining and sitting by the fire pit.
